I started my development to become a demonstrating platform medium in my local Spiritualist Church but my main reason for attending church was to answer some of my own questions on the spirit world and to understand more about the development of communication skills with spirit people.
For some people it wont be easy to go to a church especially if you are not normally a church goer. After all its not for everyone, but its a start and you may just get something from the experience. The church can sometimes be like a home form home for the nutty side of life, and indeed there are some strange folk about, but there are some very knowledgeable ones too and if you want to get the best from the visits then don't take everything that is said to heart but make up your own mind if those around you are really in contact with the spirit world. Remember the Spiritualist Church is a recognised religion and you must remember that its focus is on god and survival of the human soul. The S.N.U. web site offers a lot of info that will be very helpful.

I started to go to bolton spiritualist church when strange things started to happen after the death of my grandfather................ I felt like i needed to start answering some questions i had about life after death and spirit.
I feel at home in the church i can really relax with my own life being hectic and full of negetivity i feel cleansed and recharged after going, although church politics does get in the way sometimes i still find it an enjoyable experience.

Hi Sue yes there is a church in Leigh its at 3 Evans Street its in a little side street just behind the main road through Leigh post code is WN7 1ES and Weds 7.30pm Sun 3pm I think is service times but check the snu web site under churches to confirm this info is current.
Also there is a church called Whispering Angels on the main road in Astley nr Leigh. Service is on a Sunday 8pm its in a small community hall next to the school as you enter Astley from Leigh its on the left side of the road before you reach the Miners Arms Pub on the right. good luck Gary
