WHY IS IT THAT SOME PEOPLE ARE MORE INTUNE WITH THEIR SPIRITUALITY?
IVE BEEN WANTING TO GO TO A SPIRITUALIST CHURCH NOW FOR SOME TIME BUT I DIDNT THINK THAT I WAS READY BUT I KNOW NOW THAT I AM. I HAVE A LOT OF QUESTIONS AND I KNOW THAT THIS IS THE BEST ROUTE TO TAKE. IVE HAD A LOT OF EXPERIANCES SINCE I WERE TEN AND FOUND THEM QUITE SCARY BUT IVE LEARNED NOT TO BE AFRAID ANYMORE.I FEEL AT EASE WITH IT.
I AM THE ONLY ONE IN MY FAMILY WHO HAS EXPERIANCED ANYTHING LIKE THIS AN I WANT TO KNOW WHY IT IS JUST ME AND NOT ANYBODY ELSE.
WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT?
IF I GO TO A S CHURCH WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT TO FIND AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF YOU KNOW WOT I MEAN!
ANYONE WHO CAN HELP PLEASE DO I WOULD B VERY GRATEFUL.

I know what your thinking, "Why Me?" How come I'm the one who can see them or hear them and others cant. I know exactly how you feel on that one.

Some people are quite open and naturally spiritual and others are so closed to it they cannot imagine the concept of life after death. I'm not sure why this is. You get some people who are natural mediums that give off great evidence from spirit. And others are desperate to be a medium and it just wont happen for them.
Likewise I would love to be able to sit infront of a piano just like my partner does and just let it flow and play away, but, I cannot. It's somthing she is naturally gifted with and I cant do it for the life of me. But mediumship however, flows for me like the piano does for her.

A Spiritualist church is the right place to start. They will help you to control and better your gift. To open it up and close it down at will. And to interpret what the spirit people are trying to say to you.

I would advise you to go, just sit and observe a couple of times and see how you feel about it. A general service will be an hour long. There will be a prayer a couple of hyms and then a demonstration of mediumship from a platform or stage.

Let me know what happens when you go and how you feel about it.

A spiritualist church is just a place where like minded people gather. A soon as you walk in you should be greated by a welcoming friendly atmosphere, it isnt a place that has dull lighting and eerie settings like some people imagine. You will probably find it very relaxing and be suprised by the light, bright and happy environment......

Depending on which service you attend depends on what to expect. A divine service is more religion based with a demonstration of mediumship. An open circle is where people consisting of mediums, developing mediums and the public sit in a circle and one by one those who want to get up and pass on a message can do so. There is another service where its a demonstration of mediumship, there are healing circles to. Well thats how it is at the church i attend and im sure it is similar at other churches.

My advice is go when you feel ready, go with an open mind and when you do dont be afraid .... introduce yourself and speak to people. There will always be someone there who can answer any of your questions and take it a bit at a time.

what did your friends and families think when you told them that you were able to see and speak to spirits? did you get negative or positive reactions it would be interesting to hear how other people dealt with this because i got a lot of funny looks and negativity but i guess it shud be a comman reaction if ur surrounded by people who are sceptics or just dont want to believe that it is possible....

Hi Stacy I see you are from the Preston area well there is a small church called the Blue Bell Church or the Frank Gardner Spiritualist Church in Preston (on Sunday 6.30pm ? )& other days and some small independent ones too! The one called Moore Lane church closed a while back some of its members now assemble at the Gallaway Hall off Garstang Rd Preston Sundays 6.30pm? not too sure but give them a visit or call them to check times of services etc.
I agree with the previous messages, take your time and slowly feel your way around the spiritualist community, they are in general a very good bunch and very willing to help sincere people with a genuine gift who would like to understand and develop it further.
As for others around you I would advise you try not to get involved in deep explanations on mediumship at this stage as you would need a very broad experience of spirit, religion, science, medicine, physics, philosophy, the Paranormal and much much more to be able to deal with the many questions leveled at people involved in mediumship and spirit communication.
The list is endless and the subject vast so best to keep your profile low at this stage rather than trying to explain something your not sure of and that will require you to present a valid case for your point of view before you will be taken seriously.
Remember for most people seeing is believing but with spirit communication and mediums that's not always straightforward.

thanks for the info gary its helped i had looked at the one on moor lane and found it closed,but i have been looking at a few others aswell so i will check them out.
i know what you mean about not going into detail to people more so when they cant understand but even i dont understand to a certain degree and i have a lot of questions and have been trying to find the answers for a long time but maybe im looking to hard and the answers are right infront of me!!!
it took me a long time to realise i was living in the past and wishing for the future when i should of been concentrating on the now if you know what i mean.lol
